I am an illustrator and artist currently based in the UK.  I prefer working in traditional media but enjoy all the freedom that digital media offers too.  I have been working as an independent fine artist for the last six years and am developing an illustration portfolio too.

I have lived in many parts of the UK both north and south but mainly spent my childhood in Newcastle upon Tyne and London.  Growing up in London near the museums fed my curiosity of objects, pattern and general knowledge and I loved nothing more than spending time in the Victoria and Albert Museum absorbing their treasures. I was lucky enough to attend stage school and developed a passion for costume which led me to studying fashion design at college.

I studied contemporary fine art whilst raising my two beautiful daughters which culminated in an MA in Fine Art.  You can see my paintings at eleanoreditchburn.com. My favourite days involve making new art and designs with the special help of my studio assistant Scamp the Border terrier.

“The most important thing is that you love what you are doing, and the second that you are not afraid of where your next idea will lead.” – Charles Eames
